Dr. Ajay Suman, MD finished medical school at the age of 23 from the University of Missouri. Double board-certified in Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain, Dr. Suman is an NIH published author, worked on healthcare policy in Capitol Hill, and holds a US Patent. Dr. Suman helped start the Multidisciplinary Pain Clinic at Tripler Army Medical Center, created the first non-opioid Pain Clinic in New York City at St. Barnabas Hospital, was a Clinical Professor at NYP-Cornell Hospital, and served as Medical Director of a national anti-aging medical spa. Dr. Suman has also appeared on several news outlets, as well as being an active lecturer on the advancements of medicine for companies such as Boston Scientific. Furthermore, Dr. Suman serves as a consultant and educator with multiple Fortune 500 companies.
Dr. Suman brings a new dimension to the traditional Podiatry practice through his vast experience in pain management, as well as his experience in Anesthesiology. Dr. Suman will serve a critical role as the Director of the Medical Advisory Board for New Horizons Health and Wellness LLC, which includes New Horizons Foot and Ankle Associates PLLC, by implementing various protocols for peri-operative pain management in order to combat dependency on opioids. He will also serve to implement protocols to ensure responsibility and compliance for providers and staff within the medical practice. Additionally, he will oversee the development and advancement of New Horizons Medi-Pedi Spa, which features medical grade pedicures and services designed specifically for at-risk and diabetic patients.
